Happy Foster Kitten Friday! There’s never a dull moment with this crew and this week had lots of excitement. First on the list is that the kittens hit double digits and are officially 10 weeks old! Also super exciting is that little Avery, my tiniest jellybean who we were all super worried about is finally 2 pounds! Even she can't believe it! Once I got over the excitement of Avery's weight, I noticed that my ginger boy Jamie, had a scratch on his back that just wasn't healing. In fact, he'd been picking at it, and it was getting kind of icky. Since it was late at night, and I knew we wouldn't be able to get to the vet right away, I decided to put my Project Runway wanna-be skills to the test and made him his very own kitty hoodie out of a sock to protect it. Personally, I think he looks quite stylish. Three days later, the hoodie is still holding up and his wound is almost completely healed. And now for some extra cute photos from our week... Now that all four kittens weigh two pounds, they'll be spayed and neutered on Tuesday and ready for adoption a few days after that! If anyone who is local to the Philadelphia area is interested: All adoptions go through the rescue I work with (Forgotten Cats), but you can email me for more information. There is an application/interview process and adoption fee, but that’s to make sure they get placed with someone awesome, because they deserve it!! (And, FYI I heard through the grapevine that an application is already in for Avery! Yay!) Even this guy is excited: Have a great weekend!
xo, Karen
