Foster Kitten Friday 7/5/19

Happy Fourth of July and Happy 9 weeks old to the kittens! No I didn’t forget to post .. well I almost did, but that’s because it’s been an exciting day with THREE of the four kittens now full-fledged members of the two pound club! 

It's a bittersweet number because while it shows it's awesome that they're growing and healthy, it also means they're ready for their spay/neuter and then adoption into their forever homes. That's a good thing. But boy am I going to miss these faces! They're not going anywhere just yet though, because little Avery still has a tiny bit of growing to do. From a tiny little jellybean who always fell far behind, she has done an AMAZING job of catching up! 

​As you can see from the pictures, the big news this week is that they discovered THE WINDOW over the bed, which leads to BIRD AND SQUIRREL VIEWING. So. Much. Fun. And these fearless munchkins don't seem the least bit phased with the loud neighborhood fireworks that have been going off all week.

My big guys on the other hand had a rough week. Between the thunderstorms and fireworks, they spent a lot of time hiding under the bed. Poor fellas! I tried to give them lots of extra cuddles and treats, but they were still not happy. In fact, I'm pretty sure my oldest boy is sticking his tongue out at me to show me his opinion of the entire week in this picture I took this morning.

Hopefully next week will be better for him and his brother!
