I've been wanting my own chair. But not just any chair. I've been wanting a big cushy chair. The kind I can sink into and maybe put my feet up … so I guess I've been wanting an ottoman, too … and possibly a big fluffy blanket to wrap myself in when I'm sitting in it, because my house is always cold. The point is, it has to be a space where I can get comfy with my laptop and a cup of coffee or tea and write some words - AH WORDS! It has to be a chair that is just for ME. In MY own space.
Yes, I have a house, but here's what happens when you have a house. Every inch gets taken over for some other purpose, and suddenly you're left without even a corner for your own magic writing chair.
I needed to reclaim a corner!
Technically, I have an office. I made sure of that when I bought my house. But that office is also the guest room, and it has my son's computer, and a growing pile of stuff no one ever uses. Okay fine … it has junk. It has become the junk room. And while I do have a lovely desk that I manage to keep free from junk, I can never write at that desk. That desk is good for bills and other administrative tasks, just not creative endeavors.
I needed a chair. A magic writing chair with an ottoman … in my own corner.
It was decided.
So thanks to some extended Black Friday/Cyber Monday sales (PS - for late shoppers like me, they go on forever) and a whole lot of energy that came out of nowhere and allowed me to clean out my junk room/office, I finally have MY OWN CORNER and MY OWN MAGIC WRITING CHAIR. I should also add that I plan to get lots of reading done, too.
Now if someone could just let the cats know that this corner belongs to me. Please and thank you.
